Hey all,
Due to the success of the first spell effects markers, the Flame Corners, Armorcast and I will be releasing more in the next few weeks!
We don’t have all the details yet, but I will be busy sculpting them right away and will post pics here. Stay tuned.
In fact, if you have any ideas for Spell Effects you would like to see, feel free to comment here or send me an email. I can’t promise anything, but your idea could make it into production.
Cheers,
Clint

I think we use bless as a zone (sparkling clouds?), as well as a warden ability to create cover (brush and vines sprouting from the ground). Our wizard uses call of the grave which is a bunch of skeletal hands coming from the ground, but I’m not sure how often people use that.
Any idea on how long it will be before the new areas come out? Also we were planning on buying the flames in a few weeks you think that they will stay in stock that long?

Ok missed it, few weeks is when they are coming. Still would like to see something for bless and the vine stuff (Nature’s Abundance)

The first couple of new effects will probably be corners to use for clouds [fog, obscuring mist, cloudkill, that sort of thing] and Sigils [a little love for the Cleric, Paladin, Invoker, etc,].
But we will be doing plant corners as well as other elemental corners. Probably some others if things go well.
As for stock, Armorcast are terrific guys and they do their own casting, so if they are out of stock when you order, they walk over to the casting machine and ‘poof’ they have stock.

Hey Clint!
I’d love to see some of your walls increased in length (maybe 4 squares long?), I’ve been itching to pick them up in more than single square sections!
I think the sigils would be good for us 3.5/Pathfinder players, they’d make good location markers for things like Symbols of Pain, or center points for Hallow/Bless effects.
You might take some inspiration from the Steel Squire templates. I use them a lot of time for my gaming sessions, but it would be useful if I could put down a few of your pieces then remove the clunky template and only use it for iffy situations (ex: BIG templates).
Keep it up!

These look really cool. Once you have a few more designs out (plants, clouds & sigils all sound great!) I’m getting these for my groups. Armorcast has a great reputation so I’m sure they will be awesome!

I love the spell effect markers. These are great. I’m ordering what you have and sculpting more out of clay until you make more.
I suggest you have one set of such markers for each damage type in 4e. These are:
Acid
Cold
Fire (covered!)
Force
Lightning
Necrotic
Psychic
Radiant
Thunder
These should cover virtually any effect. Brilliant idea

It seems that one vaguely necrotic set would cover a lot of ground. Menacing shapes in black-tinged purple could cover all of the shadow-necrotic-plain ole evil zones that get dropped on heroes.
